I recently got this email (below). It is a hoax. It makes for an amazing story.
I included the email and my comments on this and how to be more critical, and thus more selective, of what you forward to your friends, colleagues and family.

Shame On Arlen
Now Arlen Specter is abandoning all illusion of serving his country. He just wants a better shot at re-election. So he is selfishly removing checks and balances from the US equation. At 79 he will serve to at least age 86 if elected. I hope he loses.

- Check this video. (7.5 minutes ) I'm not sure what to make of it. First 42 seconds could be skipped. Haven't probed the producer. It does not seem to propose what the response of the viewers should be, at least not very precisely. No web site or organization contact info that I caught.
- It is about Culture Survival. Looks like we may be ok, but we may have to push 2 for English.

I was a little freaked out the other night. It was about 1:30AM I was creating a draft e-mail. A self-indulgent diatribe/monologue, regarding the evils of the world.
